This week's fashionplate transports us back to a bygone era of 50 years ago and piano bars. Sid Gold's Request Room is an old school yet updated piano bar in the old Tillman's space in Chelsea. Decided to grab some drinks and a snack with a friend here and I started with a Ketel Soda and he got a cocktail with Singani 63. Being a Tuesday night it was not too crowded and their were some interesting characters singing which was quite entertaining. It was a mix between young and old but everyone seemed to be having a great time. We then ordered clams casino and mac & cheese which were yummy and ordered some French 75s made with SIngani 63 which was very good. The bartender was also very nice and funny. This place is a gem. One of my family members did a show here before the karaoke session, and it was a great time. Excellent staff, fun ambiance, and an all around great vibe. Should be more places like this.

Stopped in to kill time/ pregame before headed to a house party. The bar had only a few people sitting at it but from the singing and laughs behind the curtain I'm guessing everyone was in the karaoke section! Bartender was friendly and helped me pick the perfect drink. The strawberry fields was delicious and well balanced. They have good music playing too. I plan to come back to do karaoke!

What a fun piano karaoke bar! Love the vibe there. People were friendly and simply enjoying themselves. The pianist was amazing and very kind and supportive especially for someone like me who can't count beats. Song selections are fantastic and I really had an amazing time. Highly recommend this place! Will definitely be back.
